The Rant and Rave Journal

This journal is a little different to others, so this is how it works………..

The Rant

This page is for you to get anything bad/negative, whatever is holding you back – making you feel down, out of your system. Some people like going to the gym for the same reason, work out that tension or a bad day at the office. Some of us just feel like we have to say it to get it out of our system. All of us need to get it out of our minds so that we do not carry it around with us and allow it to affect our mood and overall mental health. When you Rant out all the bad stuff, you feel so much better - I am sure we all do this with our friends over a glass of wine, but we probably can’t see our friends every day to build us up. Whatever’s bothering you today, made you mad/sad - get it out of your system and use as many CAPITALS and !!! as you feel necessary. Do you ever overreact and explode at someone over something so small? Because you’re harbouring something else you haven’t got out of your system? RANT IT OUT!

The Rave

This page is designed for you to build yourself up, put a smile on your face and feel positively about the World around you – this is the Rave. There’s a space for you to write an affirmation and/or a quote that you can recite throughout the day to ensure it’s a positive one. You can write your own favourite affirmations/quotes or you can choose from the list provided. And just remember when you are with that friend having a glass of wine, you would always build them up when needed, so do it for yourself. We would never talk badly to our friends the way we do to ourselves. Write something positive you like about yourself, something you did well that you want to praise yourself for or just big yourself up in any way you can. Anything that will put you in a positive mindset and a smile on your face. Even ask a friend or family member – they will have plenty of positive things to say about you.

I know people are going to say ‘who does she think she is - trying to give people advice?’ Let me answer that now, I’m not saying I have the answers and offering to ‘fix’ people. I am just creating something for us all to use to feel better mentally and about ourselves. And create a community where we can get together and talk and share advice based on our own experiences and share stories. And build each other up and know that someone is there to support you and listen to you! Sometimes it’s just nice to feel part of something. Just know you are not alone in the way you feel/think and there are people out there who can relate and who care and love you (you might not of even met them yet!).
